Die südkoreanische Pianistin Bobae Cho entdeckte ihre Leidenschaft für das Klavierspiel bereits im Alter von sechs Jahren. Sie erhielt ihre Ausbildung in Seoul, Berlin, Leipzig und Hamburg und absolvierte mehrere Masterstudiengänge in Soloklavier und Kammermusik an der Universität der Künste Berlin sowie in Liedgestaltung an der Musikhochschule Leipzig. Ihr Studium schloss sie mit dem Konzertexamen „Global Art Song“ an der Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg ab.

Ihr solistisches Debüt gab sie bereits im Alter von zwölf Jahren in der Kumho Art Hall Seoul. Seitdem konzertierte sie u. a. in der Berliner Philharmonie, der Dresdner Frauenkirche, in Leipzig, im Musikinstrumentenmuseum Berlin sowie in Wien, Budapest, Prag, Bern und zahlreichen Städten Deutschlands. Als vielseitige Pianistin vereint Bobae Cho technische Präzision mit musikalischer Sensibilität. Sie ist in unterschiedlichsten musikalischen Kontexten aktiv – von Orchesterprojekten über Opern- und Liedproduktionen bis hin zur Kammermusik.

Derzeit arbeitet sie als Korrepetitorin an der Hochschule für Musik „Carl Maria von Weber“ Dresden. Darüber hinaus ist sie als freischaffende Pianistin, Kammermusikerin und Liedbegleiterin tätig und setzt ihre Konzerttätigkeit in ganz Deutschland fort.

South Korean pianist Bobae Cho discovered her passion for the piano at the age of six. Her musical training took her to Seoul, Berlin, Leipzig, and Hamburg. She completed several master’s degrees in solo piano and chamber music at the Berlin University of the Arts, as well as in song interpretation at the Leipzig University of Music and Theatre. She concluded her studies with the concert examination “Global Art Song” at the University of Music and Theatre Hamburg.

She made her solo debut at the age of twelve at the Kumho Art Hall in Seoul. Since then, she has performed at venues including the Berlin Philharmonie, the Frauenkirche in Dresden, in Leipzig, at the Musical Instrument Museum Berlin, as well as in Vienna, Budapest, Prague, Bern, and numerous cities across Germany. A versatile pianist, Bobae Cho combines technical precision with refined musical sensitivity. Her artistic work spans a wide range of musical contexts, from orchestral projects to opera and song productions, as well as chamber music.

She currently works as a répétiteur at the Carl Maria von Weber University of Music in Dresden. In addition, she is active as a freelance pianist, chamber musician, and song accompanist, and continues her concert activities throughout Germany.
